Mail:

• Required to work a minimum of 8 hours a month.
• Enforcing state and municipal laws to ensure the safety of all citizens.

• Documenting and/or addressing Code Enforcement Issues.
• Investigating criminal offenses including gathering evidence, identifying, and arresting suspects, providing community outreach, investigating traffic collisions, and directing traffic at accident scenes.
• You may also be asked to respond to disturbance calls such as fights, burglaries, robberies, and crimes in progress to include physically controlling the offender.
• You may also participate in specialized investigations by performing undercover sting operations, gathering intelligence, participating in criminal investigations, and assisting in the surveillance of suspects and suspected criminal locations.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Candidates must currently hold a valid “Basic Peace Officer License” thru TCOLE and meet all required mandates to hold such license. (at least 1 year of prior service is preferred) Candidates must also meet the following requirements:
1.         Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
2.         A citizen of the United States
3.         A minimum of 21 years of age.
4.         Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language at or above the 12th grade level.
5.         Good common sense and emotional maturity.
6.         Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
7.         Applicants are required to submit to a complete personal history statement
